FESAC to Meet Nov 6-7

The U.S. Department of Energy Fusion Energy Sciences Advisory Committee (FESAC) will hold a public meeting November 6-7 at the Gaithersburg (MD) Hilton, beginning at 9 AM on the 6th and ending at noon on the 7th. Details can be found at http://www.ofes.fusion.doe.gov/fesac.shtml

The panel will receive an overview from Dr. Patricia Dehmer, Deputy Director for Science Programs, DOE, and a briefing on long range strategic planning for the fusion program.

The FESAC will also receive the final report of its Panel on Toroidal Alternate Concepts and a briefing on the Status of the ITER project.

A second FESAC panel, on High Energy Density Laboratory Physics, has not completed its study and will provide a status report.
