General
1) This class was one of my wrost classes in term of student prepartion. Most
students have difficulties with fundamentals of circuit theory (Writing KVL,
doing node-voltage method, etc.) although they have taken and passed one or two
courses in the subject. You cannot be an electrical engineer if you do not
grasp circuit theory.
2) Grades tremendously suffered because a lot of students do sloppy work: messy
write-up leading to forgetting terms, decimals moving around, etc. It appears
some students like to turn in the most "unreadable"
finals.
A large portion of the class would have got a better grade if they
had not made sloppy mistakes in their final!
3) Some students still quote numbers with many digits and/or 23 micro A was
quoted 0.000023 A (What would you say if the lab instructions says set the
amplitude of the signal to 0.000023 V? or go to market and ask for 0.0004 pound
of something!). Invariably these students made math mistakes carrying these
extra zeros and digits around. More importantly, some students still quote
numbers without any UNITS. These numbers are meaningless.
