Beginning with the 22nd SOFE in Albuquerque, one or more Best Student Paper awards have been presented at the symposia. Student papers are screened by the Fusion Technology Committee and a limited number are invited to present their work at the committee luncheon concurrent with SOFE. Winners are selected by majority vote. A cash award and certificate are presented at the banquet.
